In general, the data is formatted in WIDE and the lower level SGP functions (studentGrowthPercentiles and studentGrowthProjections) operate on this data. However, higher level wrapper functions (such as studentGrowthIndexes) are more likely to operate on LONG data formats that have many preparation and storage benefits over WIDE data.
