The Sidney is a monthly award for investigative journalism. Its purpose is to help uncover the stories that reveal social injustices and economic inequality. Those who win the award receive a $500 honorarium, as well as a certificate from the Sidney Hillman Foundation.

There are several different prizes awarded each year. One of these is the Thomas Robinson Prize, which is awarded to a writer for writing about the South. A few years ago, it was known as the Sidney Lanier Prize. This prize is now administered by the Center for Southern Studies.

Another award is the Milton and Anne Sidney Prize, which recognizes commitment to clinical scholarship and health care for all. These awards also recognize contributions to the fight against structural racism. Among other winners, Elisbeth Passmore won Westernport Crossing.

In addition to these awards, the Sidney Award is given each month to journalists and writers for work published in an American newspaper, blog, or other online media. Some of the most popular recipients are Mary Bottari, Greg Palast, and Nikky Finney.

As an active journalist and reporter, Mary Bottari has worked on a number of important stories. She has covered the 2008 Wall Street meltdown and has spearheaded the Center for Media and Democracy’s ALEC Exposed investigation. Throughout her career, she has contributed to numerous media outlets. She has also been a recipient of the Sidney Award twice.

Several other authors have received the Sidney Award over the years. The winner of the Neilma Sidney Short Story Prize is chosen from a shortlist of eight. Applicants must submit original short fiction of up to three thousand words. Their work will be featured in Overland, a literary journal. An entry fee of $20 is required for non-subscribers. Currently, there is a special subscriber rate for Overland.

Many people worry about their data being safe and secure. But that doesn’t have to be the case. If you’re planning on entering the Sidney Award competition, be sure to check out the rules and regulations. They’re designed to ensure that you’re getting the most out of your experience.

Finally, the Sidney Black Memorial Engineering Award is an award for female students who have completed their BEng. This prize is given in memory of Sidney Black, a passionate engineer. He was passionate about his career and dedicated to helping others. His accomplishments include teaching at the University of Kentucky and Berea College, as well as founding the Affrilachian Poets.

Each of these awards is sponsored by the Sidney Hillman Foundation. They sponsor a bottle of union-made wine, as well as a $500 honorarium and a certificate. You can find out more about these prizes on the Foundation’s website.

The awards are administered by a committee. All entries must be sent by March 31st. Winners will be announced in May. Until then, you can check out the results on the Foundation’s website. Whether you’re an author, a journalist, or a student, it’s never too late to win one of these awards.
